More Than a Portrait: A Glimpse into Their Wonder Years with Cranberry Township Photographer

Looking for more than just a picture-perfect moment? I believe the most meaningful childhood portraits are the ones that tell a story. With just a few simple props and a spark of imagination, children bring the magic — I simply follow along with my lens. When kids are given something to hold, explore, or interact with, they relax, play, and forget the camera is even there. That’s when the real moments happen — the ones filled with wonder, curiosity, and joy.

Recently, I had the joy of photographing twin boys and their big sister during one of these outdoor sessions. With just a few gentle directions and the right setting, we created something that felt straight out of a storybook.

One of the sweetest moments? The boys gently feeding baby ducks near a wooden fence — their tiny hands dipping into a metal pail as fluffy yellow ducklings waddled up with curiosity.
